Whoever planned the chaos this castle experienced today is immature and has way too much time on his hands. However, despite the awful creatures who tried to ruin Valentine's Day, I must say this year's holiday was the best I've experienced. Theodore Nott is the perfect gentleman. He also has the best taste.

I got an owl from my mother today. She's all upset about some missing friend. Apparently they've been mates for years and were in the same House years and years ago.
I feel bad that my mother is worrying about her friend, but if she kept more suitable company, she wouldn't have to worry over those things. Besides, she was a muggle-born so she probably just went back to her world or something anyway. I don't know why my mother is hysterical. She has an active imagination. |

Sometimes I think the wrong children were born to such wonderful parents. If I had half the opportunities some simply throw away...well. I'd certainly be a bit more grateful and proud. Leave it at that.
I am enjoying being at Hogwarts. The addition of Professor Malfoy has really made a difference in my education. Not to mention Professor Umbridge already brought such a refreshing change to DADA. I missed her while I was away for the holiday.

Why do I keep overhearing people complaining about this wonderful success for our government? We should be pleased that our leaders set such a good example. There was no bloodshed, no war, no angry words...the Germans wanted our influence. Honestly, I think some people are just not happy unless they're fighting imaginary causes. |

Honestly, first years should have their own separate quarters until they are properly trained! You don't just let a kitten run through the entire house before breaking her in, do you? No, I didn't think so. You NEED to know what happened to me today! I had finished Professor Snape's brilliant class so my friends and I were headed back to Slytherin and what should happen? A HERD of first years ran us over! Where in Salazar's name is Filch when you need him? I have scuff marks on my shoes now! Ugh, they have no manners. I was never such a stupid little girl. My parents taught me manners. I always knew to walk properly and not knock people down! It's common sense!
I can't talk about this anymore. I WILL be complaining to Umbridge though. I hope the poor woman got her office cleaned finally! Whoever thought up that ridiculous prank should be ashamed. Why would anyone interrupt such a wonderful class? I'm telling you, no one has respect for anything anymore!
Oh, girls, have you SEEN the brilliant new bag in Witch Weekly? It would look perfect with that silver dress of mine, yeah? Too bad Hogsmead trips got cancelled. I bet we can blame stupid people for that too. You know she'd never made such a choice unless she had to. Ugh, I hate some people more and more every day, mates. |
